For My High Maintenance gals

Hey Ladies! Are you feeling the affects of Inflation? It has definitely pushed me into a stricter budget. Before Pandemic and inflation, I would spend money to get my nails, brows and other self care maintenances. Now, I slowed down on my spending. I no longer do my nails. I picked up a new skill- I learned how to do my own nails. This saved me nearly $150-200 a month. I’ve been learning how new skills and I’ve been saving hundreds of dollars.

How Can you Look Cute on A budget?

Here are 5 ways that you can still look presentable while not hurting your pockets:

  1. Learn To Do Your Own Nail This is my favorite starter kit on Amazon for beginners. It has everything you need to get started. There are so many educational videos online to teach you how to apply application. It took me a few rounds and now I’ve gotten much better. https://amzn.to/3EOuhv3

2. Don’t sleep on Press on Nails This is the most affordable route with little to no effort. I only paid $4 for these press on nails. It looks very professional. The key to making it last longer is proper application; wash hands thoroughly, apply rubbing alcohol to the nails and sand nails lightly to remove some of the shine and slip. Make sure you invest in a good nail glue that will keep the nail on longer. Check out my favorite for the Fall and Winter colored nails. https://amzn.to/3AYHIrr

3. Take Advantage of Installment Payments I am so thankful for options like After pay, Klarna, Affirm, etc. This is a life saver! I can purchase trendy and beautiful clothing and accessories without paying full price at the checkout. Many online stores and boutique offer these options at checkout. Payments are split into 4 installments. Don’t overdo it by creating multiple installments at one time. We’ve all heard the saying , ” Too much of something is a bad thing”. You could risk missing payments and it hit your credit report. Moderation is key. Cheers to looking cute on a budget!

4. Shop with a strategy. Sign up for emails from your favorite online stores. Signing up for and emails and text has its benefits. Some websites are constantly running sales. Also, use coupons. One of my favorite apps to rack up points is Fetch App. https://www.fetchrewards.com/ It works by scanning receipts each time you shop. You simply scan each receipt and earn points. Once you reach a certain amount of points, you can choose between gift cards and other nice rewards. It a win win situation.

5. Travel On A Budget Indeed, look into investing in a travel card. This is a sure way to look classy while traveling. You can rack up on thousands of points while traveling. Who doesn’t like to save money every chance they get? There are also hotel and airline cards. Benefits are:

•complimentary drinks/food

•first-class

•treated like royalty in hotels

•insurance to cover stolen luggage

•and so much more perks

Nevertheless, always do research before signing up for any cards! Pay attention to terms and conditions.

No Need To Keep Up With The Joneses. Move At Your Own Beat!

In short, it’s not how you look. Its how you feel. You simply don’t need a lot of money to look trendy. With confidence, you can rock any outfit. The key is to look trendy and live a little boujee on a budget. If you stick to a strict budget, you will live a comfortable life!
