First and foremost, Itโ€™s okay to live a normal and quiet life. Itโ€™s totally fine If you like deals, discounts , ect. You can still enjoy life on a budget. The most uncomfortable thing I see on social media today, is everyone copying each other-from the poses-to the lifestyle. I see many young people posing in front of expensive cars and sitting in upscale restaurants. Youโ€™d be surprised! Secondly, letโ€™s not forget the ones who are using credit cards to take expensive trips for social media. Many are faking a lifestyle to look cool and acceptable online. Being your authentic self will always get you cool points.

2. Updating your entire social media followers on your accomplishments

Indeed, you don’t owe anyone when you’re celebrating an accomplishment. In a generation of social media, we always feel like we must fill everyone in on what we are doing. We have to let others know we just graduated ,bought a house, had a baby, etc. Its perfectly fine to keep some good news to yourself. Remember, not everyone will be happy for you. Just because you don’t post it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

3.Chasing Wealth/Rich

Without a doubt, letโ€™s face it! Not everyone will become rich. My ultimate goal Is to be healthy, get closer to God and live comfortably. What is wrong with driving a basic car and living in a normal sized home. Absolutely nothing! Match what fits your budget and lifestyle is important. Never go broke trying to impress others. We must live within our means and not put ourselves in so much debt to look a certain way. Focus on establishing a future that is set up to have your family in a comfortable space.

Obviously, there are so many roads to success; college, trade, entrepreneurship. Iโ€™ve see people graduate from college with a certain degree and then turn around and go a totally different path. Life has made it possible to take many different paths to success. You donโ€™t need a degree to become successful. All you need is faith, hard work and determination. You can do anything you put your mind to.

Undoubtedly, everyones’ journey will be different. I spent my 20s stressing about checking off everything on my list before the age of 30. Unfortunately, many of my dreams didnโ€™t go as plan. And many of my goals in my 30s arenโ€™t going as planned. Life can reroute you into a different path. Just because you’re not married or a home owner by 30, doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Take a deep breath and enjoy the journey. Try not to stress about beating timelines. It will all work out in the end.

Lastly, keep working on yourself daily to become the best version you could possibly become. You can never go wrong on self improvement. My best advice is โ€œ step away from social media for a while.โ€ Go out more and network. Go take a walk and get sunlight. Find a new hobby. Social media can become toxic when one let it consume them. Free yourself from comparing yourself to the next person and be content where you are. I promise you! You are doing just fine!
